Working while uncomfortable

"...Your biggest risk isn't failing, it's getting too comfortable. ... Instead of trying to make your life perfect, give yourself the freedom to make it an adventure, and go ever upward.”

-- Drew Houston, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 2013

I will admit. This quote did what it was supposed to do. Not only be inspiring but promote, prompt, motivate and push me to truly see myself, do something about it and continue to MOVE FORWARD! As a full time corporate employee, I am guilty of getting too comfortable. The assurance of the bi-weekly paycheck is like a steady infusion of financial security. Ironically, permanent jobs are no longer permanent nowadays. Companies fail, they merge, get bought out, and even the US government is vulnerable enough to be hacked.

HOWEVER, as an entrepreneur, I've had to learn, and I'm continually learning that being uncomfortable is a part of building a business. I presume that even the most bold and successful business owners, the ones that have that grit and go get ‘em coursing through their bones have had moments of wanting to sit back and be comfortable. I'm glad I saw this article today. Not as only inspiration, but through the lens of the challenge to BE UNCOMFORTABLE enough to be "Better... stronger... faster" ...not in an arrogant way, but owning confidence and pursuing greatness with all that I have.

Sharing from a place of transparency today.
